DUMPSTER RENTAL FOR SPRING CLEANING

Its that time of year again, spring cleaning!! Time to make space in the garage for your car, clear out that spare room for an office or home gym, or make room for the lawn mower in the shed. But thats alot of stuff so you will need a dumpster rental service to help haul off all your junk. There is a lot to consider before you know what dumpster rental will be right for your spring cleaning project. Here's some tips to get you started

How much stuff could you get rid of?

We all know it’s hard to part with the stuff that fills up our lives, even if it sits in our garage year round. But the relief one feels once they begin to through out the clutter is addicting, you may get rid of more than you ever thought you could. Remember when your picking your dumpster to overestimate the amount of trash you could throw away. It would be much more expensive to rent a dumpster that is too small for the job and then have to get another.

For the biggest spring cleanouts a 15 yard dumpster should do the trick. A two car garage or two spare rooms filled with clutter could probably fill up a 15 yard. They are a little bigger than a large SUV and fit nicely on standard driveway.

For medium sized cleanouts a 12 yard dumpster is the best choice. A 12 yard will hold a partially filled two car garage of junk or one full single car garage. Two spare rooms could still be cleaned out using a 12 yard. One advantage to 12 yard dumpsters is they are easy to fit into a garage. So if your cleaning while it’s still cold outside you can avoid trips in and out of your house all day.

For small jobs a 10 yard dumpster is all that is needed. Your could clean out a spare room or single car garage with a 10 yard dumpster. They can easily fit into your garage like the 12 yards and some you can even move around without heavy equipment.

You have to know what angle to hold it at and sometimes disassemble parts to get couches out of the room. Some very heavy furniture is easier to move with techniques using straps and dollies. All of these issues our junk haulers have dealt with and their experience will speed up your spring cleaning project.

Could you donate?

If your getting rid of an entire room often you might be throwing out furniture that could be useful to someone else. Before you decide to throw everything into a dumpster you should consider what you could donate. Donating can save you money at the dump and divert material away from the landfill. You could also be furnishing someone’s home who really needs it!

What you can’t throw into a dumpster?

Often when digging through the piles of trash, especially in a garage, customers come across things like oil filters, chemical products, pesticides, paints, solvents, flammable liquids or material, batteries, and more. These products are not appropriate for roll off dumpsters and should be disposed of at your local municipal hazardous waste drop off site. Other waste that you should not throw in a roll off dumpster is dead animals, radioactive material, and medical waste.
